The Shimano XT SL-M8000 shifters

Since the interaction between the driver and his propulsion system is known to occur primarily via the gear shifters, these man-machine interfaces have been given the highest priority in the new DEORE XT M8000 Group. The switching and release levers, which are equipped with tactile different surfaces, as well as the OPTISLICK cables provide a 20% reduction in shifting forces, especially for endurance athletes of sometimes decisive importance, and improve ergonomics literally. INSTANT-RELEASE, MULTI-RELEASE and 2-WAY-RELEASE ensure fast and flexible operation, the further optimized Vivid Index mechanism for clear tactile feedback and precision. The levers are configured in this version for the classic clamp mounting.
