Rock Shox Ahead-Expander ?? Carbon-??/??? ????? SID/Reba/Revelation World Cup/RS-1

Do not use a traditional claw in forks with carbon shafts, be sure to use a gentle expander like this one from Rock Shox.

As early as 2003, Rock Shox introduced the first SID with carbon crown and stem. Also, the three later series of the SID, the first generation Reba and second-generation Revelation, there was a World Cup version with carbon shaft. The carbon fiber used in the RS-1 was the furthest, with the entire top unit made of black fiber.

As with all carbon fiber forks, hammering a sharp-edged, conventional steel claw would damage the fibers. Rock Shox has therefore designed this removable expander, which gently clamps the shaft from the inside while still counteracting the forces of the stem-Schaftklemmung. This protects the carbon shaft perfectly and you do not have to worry about durability.
