Please always refer to the manufacturer's number when selecting the spring version, which is stated in the spare parts catalog for your fork! Since there are several partly parallel produced incompatible series of forks and sometimes different springs are required for different spring travel, the designation alone is not sufficient to select the right spring. If you are unsure, we are happy to help.

As a rough guideline, since around 2011 Rock Shox has been offering the following spring hardness recommendations for all forks, in addition to the exceptions listed below:
Below 63kg: Silver X-Soft - silver extra soft
63-72kg: Yellow Soft - yellow soft
72-81kg: Red Medium - red medium
81-90kg: Blue Firm - blue hard
90-99kg: Black X-Firm - black extra hard

Below 63kg: Red Medium - red medium
63-72kg: Blue Firm - blue hard
72-81kg: Black X-Firm - black extra hard
81-90kg: Orange XX-Firm - orange extraextra style
90-99kg: Pink XXX Firm - pink extraxtraextrahart

XC 28 80-100mm
Under 63kg: Green X-Soft - green extra soft
63-72kg: Black Soft - black soft
72-81kg: Yellow Medium - yellow medium
81-90kg: Red Firm - red hard
90-99kg: Blue X-Firm - blue extra hard

The default spring for Rock Shox forks in the retrofit market is for the weight range of 81-90kg, in most forks so the red spring. Forks on complete wheels can be equipped with harder or softer springs, so it is advisable to remove the spring and check the color code. In part, the whole spring is coated in the appropriate color, in part, there is only a less noticeable colored marking on the side of the spring.

Please direct yourself in compatibility issues only after the manufacturer number, not after the possibly incomplete or too general article designations!

Unfortunately we can not keep up with more than 4000 Rock Shox spare parts if a single spare part is suddenly compatible with another fork or that a spare part "for Reba" just fits for the first series and not one of the two later ones.
