Linkglide - the ultimate component system
LINKGLIDE allows smooth shifting and pedaling, both of which extend the service life. LINKGLIDE supports stress-free riding and riding experiences for new bike types and riding styles for years to come. This drive is extraordinarily durable, withstands daily stress and offers good shifting and pedaling properties for multi-purpose bikes and high-torque e-bikes.

Rapidfire Plus
Mountain bikers have been using the Rapidfire Plus since 1985. Rapidfire Plus is still the first choice for a wide range of rider groups, from XC racers to freeriders and downhillers. Rapidfire Plus is suitable for fast shifting. The driver can downshift by up to three gears with one shift stroke. All Rapidfire Plus shifters, from Shimano Deore to XTR, are equipped with a 2-way release (release in two directions). This means that shift cable is released by pulling with index finger or pushing with thumb.

2-way release
The release lever of a Rapidfire Plus shifter is usually called the trigger because it is pulled towards the grip like the trigger of a pistol. The release lever of the Rapidfire Plus shifters from Shimano Alivio to XTR can be operated in the same way. However, it can also be used to switch gears with the press of a thumb.

I-Spec EV
I-SPEC EV creates a clean, action-optimized cockpit layout that helps more drivers focus and be more flexible. Thanks to the increased adjustment range, the I-SPEC EV levers can be placed in the optimal position for different riding styles (Enduro, XC, etc.), rider preferences and rider anatomy (hand and arm positions). With I-SPEC EV, the brake clamps are moved further inwards. This creates an additional contact point between the handlebars and the brake lever, which increases the stiffness of the lever. This extra support greatly improves bike control and braking. There is space between the clamp and the support point for additional accessories mounted on the handlebar.
