With the light Bora Ultra WTO Disc up the slope with ease
With a height of only 33 mm, the Bora Ultra WTO 33 has the lowest rim profile of the new Ultra family, optimized in the wind tunnel (WTO). Every component of the wheel has been redesigned to maximize aerodynamic efficiency and reduce weight. This saves valuable energy and generates higher speeds with the same effort by the driver.
Climbers will love the low weight of the Bora Ultra WTO 33, which helps them conquer climbs even faster, change the pace immediately and descend very quickly and safely. The rims, handcrafted by Campagnolo and made of ultra-light carbon (HULC), have a luxury high-gloss surface (C-LUX) and non-drilled 2-way fit rim channels for perfect tire compatibility without the use of rim tape.
The shapely carbon fiber front hub body is hourglass-shaped to improve aerodynamics and is securely attached to an aluminum flange. Integrated spoke seats ensure perfect alignment, concealed Aero Mo-Mag nipples and elliptical, tapered aero spokes with G3 lacing improve performance and CULT ceramic bearings promise an almost smooth run.
The aluminum HR hub body is hourglass-shaped to improve aerodynamics and uses CULT ceramic bearings for near-smooth rotation. Its oversize rack system with 36 teeth is compatible with N3W, XDR or HG freehub bodies. The concealed Aero Mo-Mag nipples and elliptical, tapered aero spokes with G3 lacing further improve performance.
The 2-Way-Fit rim is designed for tubeless, tubeless-ready or clincher tires from 23mm width, but is aerodynamically optimized for 25mm tires.
Main advantages
Wider and faster
The completely redesigned Bora Ultra WTO 33 rim now has an inner width of 21mm and is compatible with tires from 25mm, but is aerodynamically optimized for 25mm tires. The Bora Ultra WTO 33 2-Way Fit rim meets the ETRTO tubeless standard for installing tubeless tires and is also suitable for tubeless-ready tires and clincher tires. Wider tires on wider rims increase the volume of air inside and, especially when tubeless, can be safely ridden at lower pressures, improving grip, control, comfort and reducing fatigue without sacrificing speed.
Aerodynamic details
The hub bodies are thinner in the middle in order to reduce the area exposed to wind. The 24 elliptical aero spokes with double thickness have a diameter reduced from 1.6mm to 1.5mm. The new Aero Mo-Mag nipples are hidden inside the rim to minimize airflow over them, but are still easily adjustable
Stop and go
All new Bora Ultra WTO wheels are designed for AFS brake discs (Centerlock compatible). Campagnolo's exclusive G3 spoke system improves the transmission of drive torque. The CULT ceramic bearings used by the Bora Ultra WTO hubs are 5½ times smoother than standard steel bearings. The oversize freewheel with rack with 36 teeth is responsive, very resistant and compatible with N3W, XDR, HG freehub bodies.

HULC - Handmade Ultra light Carbon
The Bora Ultra WTO rims are manufactured using Campagnolo's new HULC process. It is a further development of the exclusive carbon compression molding process, which already produces flawless rims that do not require any additional post-processing. The optimization of the ratio of carbon fiber and resin as well as process improvements ensure a consistently precise shaping of the 2-way fit rim flanks and all other details. The Bora Ultra WTO rims are the lightest Campagnolo has ever made in all of the heights offered. Still, they offer the same rigidity and better mechanical resistance than the already remarkably reliable non-HULC rims.
Cult ™ ceramic bearings
The best Campagnolo ceramic bearings are only installed on the best hubs and sprockets. They represent a significant upgrade over all other bearings. Their high-quality ceramic balls are incredibly round and tough, and rotate in wear-resistant stainless steel ball rails that have been constructed with micrometer tolerances to maximize their efficiency and durability. They do not warp or corrode, have consistent performance over the long term and only need to be cleaned regularly and lubricated with light synthetic oil. CULT ™ bearings have a 40% lower coefficient of friction than standard sealed bearings and have been tested to rotate 5.5 times longer.
Aero Mo-Mag
The innovative Mo-Mag system made it possible to position the nipples inside the rim with the help of a magnet, without having to create additional holes in the channel. Aero Mo-Mag takes another step forward with a completely internal, hidden system that maximizes aerodynamics and allows a lighter rim to be built. The inner nipple seats made of glass fiber reinforced polymer are specific for each rim and hub combination. This guarantees perfect alignment of the spokes and nipples and reduces the stress on the individual components due to the stress. Any adjustment of the spoke tension can still easily be made in the conventional way with the supplied Torx tool.
G3 ™ geometry
Campagnolo's exclusive G3 spoke configuration includes groups of three parallel straight-headed spokes arranged in a 2: 1 ratio. By doubling the number of spokes on one side, the wheels with G3 technology can counteract the asymmetry of the drive system and the braking forces acting on it, which leads to a more symmetrical driving behavior and a load compensation. The energy transfer and the lateral stiffness are improved and the spoke tension is optimized, which reduces the load and increases the service life. All Campagnolo wheels with disc brakes use G3 lacing, whereby the front wheel has more spokes on the disc brake side and the rear wheel is double-spoked on the drive side.
